After passes more than 1 year full of chaotic competition, finally Indonesian Football League 2007 has been reach final stage. At Saturday February 9, 2008 two football clubs will be match on the final stage which be held in Gelora Bung Karno, Senayan, Jakarta. They are PSMS Medan versus Sriwijaya FC Palembang.

At semi-final stage PSMS Medan success defeated Persipura Jayapura 5-4 through dramatic penalty-shoot after get draw (0-0) result at normal time. Meanwhile Sriwijaya FC goes to final after conquest Persija Jakarta with 1-0 through Keith Kayamba Gumbs’s goal at first half.

Special for Sriwijaya FC if on the Final stage they become a champion they will be make record as the first Indonesian football team that success joining a League trophy with Cup (Copa) trophy. At Indonesia Cup they was success destroying Persipura Jayapura. And for Rahmad Darmawan –Sriwijaya FC coach if his team become a champion, he will be the first coach in Indonesia who success joining a League trophy with Cup (Copa) trophy with one team.

Well whoever will become a champion, one for sure The 2007 Indonesian Football League Trophy will be belong Sumatera. This is because 2 clubs which will be fight at final stage are from Sumatera Island. PSMS Medan is from North Sumatera. And Sriwijaya FC Palembang is from South Sumatera.
